DataDots - What are they?
DataDot consists of tiny discs, about the size of a grain of sand, each laser etched with multiple lines of code. The code is unique for each asset. The code is stored on a national database. In some instances the DataDot simply carries the "primary identifier" issued by the manufacturer - for example the VIN as issued by the manufacturer. All DataDot Fitment Center and Asset Kit applications use a unique PIN number which is linked to you for life. Fitments can also be done at your home or place of business.
